Let it Out

So, Six months after ko mag-blog, here I am trying to conjure words that will try to make sense since I've been wanting to blog for the longest time but for some reason, hindi ko magawa. Naalala ko tuloy yung lagi ko'ng naririnig sa boss ko: "Is it a will or skill issue?".... sakin? Depende sa mood... haha..

Anyway, gusto ko lang magsulat ng kahit ano today. Makapag-vent out. Alam nyo naman, nakakapaglabas lang ako ng aking mga hinanaing in writing. Kaya here I am speaking my mind again.

Well, gaya ng ibang tao, may mga hardships din ako sa buhay and there are times na gusto ko lang tumahimik. But there's this Japanese song na nagustuhan ko, ang it's about being true to yourself. Marami kasi satin kahit may dinaramdam na, masabi lang malakas eh magkukunwaring walang pinagdaraanan. Then only recently, may ilan sa mga kaibigan ko ang dumaan sa matitinding trials of their life: my Team Leader lost his mom, then our former manager also lost his mom (just a few days after my boss' mom passed away); then before that, I witnessed a friend cry over a break-up (or maybe she had already moved on pero somewhere, it just hurt still - para sa'yo din to, Ms. R. L.). One night, nasa wake service ako for my boss' mom, and sabi nung preacher, it's normal to be sad; it's normal to cry. If you lose someone who is very important to you, it's okay to show how you feel.

So eto ako, once again reminded that we can't always play the tough guy even though we're hurting inside. Sometimes, we just have to let it out. I'm posting a song and this is my English, sing-along translation of the original Japanese version.

Thanks to Salvick Malaybalay of Bulacan, Philippines for agreeing to render this song for me.

Para sa lahat ng tao'ng pag kinamusta mo, sasagot ng "Ok lang..", pero deep inside my pinagdaraanan pala. Para sa inyo (or sa atin) to:

Let It Out
(My English, Sing-along Translation)

Verse 1

Let it all out, let it all out
There's no need for you to act so tough and brave;

Like a tho-rned, little flower someone painted on a wall may seem so strong, yet it sways;

Refrain 1

So- have you ever wondered abo-ut who you rea-lly a-re?
Or have you figured that this journey of life is but_a cycle o-f "come and go"?

There are days we feel so lonely, And we just want to scream out loud as_we_walk th-is long, long road.

Chorus 1

Collect your tears and all your pain, and replace 'em wi-th stars;
Don't be afraid to turn the lights on that will shine forevermore;

You may lose your way a little but I'll be always there for you- like stardusts that light you-r path eternally to a bright tomorrow.

Verse 2

Let it all all out, let it all out
Show your imperfections and your weaknessess;

I-ts okay to be fra-il
Because that was how you were o-n the day we met

Refrain 2

A-nd if I'm not mistaken, by_now_you've_had_it_a-ll_figured_out;
That tryin' to hide a little knife is not enough for you to keep on fighting;

Enough with these pretenses and lies,
Coz the more you act so brave, the more you- hu-rt yo-ur soul.

Chorus 2

Outside, I know it's scary bu-t we just have to carry on,
Be still and let the gentle breeze_kiss the smile upon your face;

Hold your li'l hands up to the skies
And I will reach for you, and we will make stardusts that light ou-r path eternally to a bright tomorrow.

Bridge

What are we supp-osed to do if what we thought was right turns out to be wrong?
Should we just  accept tha-t life is all abou-t pain and sa-dne-ss?

Ju-st when I thought I'd lost my hope,
Yo-u came and gave it back to me;
I'm glad that you were ri-ght there all along, oohh

Wooh..

Chorus 3

Collect your tears and all your pain, and replace 'em wi-th stars;
Don't be afraid to turn the lights on that will shine forevermore;

Hold your li'l hands up to the skies
And I will reach for you, and we will make stardusts that light ou-r path eternally to a bright tomorrow.

Chorus 4

A day may come when, for a while, we will have to say goodbye,
But even if the seasons change our/ hearts will stay the same;

And if you feel afraid just take my hand,
Coz I'ma walk with you unt-il the end of the road
It's a promise that I make and it won't ever change...
