Kathryn, Daniel to shoot new movie

MANILA, Philippines – Fans of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla won't be missing them that much since they will begin shooting their next project very soon.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Bernardo revealed that soon after the series “Princess and I” concludes this Friday, she and onscreen partner Daniel Padilla will begin shooting their launching movie.

“Next namin after ‘Princess and I' is 'yung movie namin. Taping na nga kami tomorrow eh, sisimulan na naman siya,” she said.

But while she is thrilled to jump into another project, the young actress was sad since their series is about to end.

“Nag-grow talaga kami dito. Masarap ang feeling kasi after ng show, marami akong natutunan. Yun ang importante. And the friendship, 'yung samahan with the cast, parang nagkaroon ng bagong family kasi 10 months kaming magkakasama,” she said.

But Padilla said it is just normal for good things to come to an end.

“Masaya na malungkot siyempre. Magtatapos na pero masaya kasi maganda ang itinakbo ng ‘Princess and I,’” he said.

Originally set to end last October, the ABS-CBN show was extended because of its high ratings due to a massive viewer support.

Headlined by Bernardo, who plays the role of a long lost princess, the show is set to make its final bow on February 1. It remains to be seen whether Bernardo’s character will choose Jao (Gil) or Gino (Padilla).

Aside from Bernardo and Padilla, “Princess and I” also stars Enrique Gil, Khalil Ramos, Albert Martinez, and Gretchen Barretto.
